A lot of places say they treat your family like their own. Guests keep writing that this one does it, and they name names when they do.

Handles the business side and customer relations, and is the reason the numbers work.

Our new campground host, and the person you are most likely to meet on the grounds.

The first face at check-in, and the one who remembers you next year.

Two friends who keep the place looking the way it does. Forty acres do not mow themselves.
After a decade of running franchises, Bryan and Jessie were ready for a change. They sold their business and home, bought a fifth wheel and set out full-time with their daughters and two dogs.
They did not start as experienced campers. But after a year on the road and stays at campgrounds across the country, they had learned what made some places feel easy, welcoming and worth returning to.
They came home to North Carolina with an idea: build the kind of campground they had been looking for. With the family behind them, that idea became In The Pines.

Eleven states, one fifth wheel, two dogs and two small girls. Everything we liked about these places is somewhere in the forty acres you are standing on.

UtahThis place did not start with a development plan. It started with Joe and Theresa wanting a business their three children could all get behind.

The larger family vision started with Joe and Theresa and their desire to build a business their children and their families could share. Their experience in family business, hospitality and hosting helped shape what In The Pines would become.

North Carolina natives and Appalachian State alumni, Heather and Charlie remain closely connected to the family business. Heather brings experience in customer relations, business management and coaching, and oversees the business side of In The Pines.
Charlie owns Tank Rangers, the RV tank cleaning service that works out of the park. He deep cleans black and gray tanks, which is one more way the family tries to make a stay here easier than it needs to be.

Kelley and Joe built their own family business in the Wilmington area, where Joe operates Del Vecchio Electric. Their experience as business owners and parents gives them another perspective on what it takes to build something meant to last.

Bryan and Jessie’s full-time RV trip provided the spark. After returning to North Carolina in 2020, they shared the campground idea with the family and helped turn it into the property guests stay at today.

The roads, RV pads, bathhouse, pool, cabins and camp store were developed together over three years rather than added piece by piece to an older property. That is why the roads fit modern rigs, the infrastructure is new and the campground feels like one place rather than a collection of additions.
Three generations of the family are still involved. If you want to know who built something, there is a good chance somebody on the property can tell you.
It didn’t matter where we were or what time of year, all these RV parks seemed to have a great sense of community where everyone was friendly and seemed to be having a good time.Bryan Judge · North Brunswick Magazine, Spring 2023
