Find answers to the questions guests ask most about staying at In The Pines. If you do not see yours here, call 910.845.5040 and someone who knows the park will help.
A hundred and nine questions, grouped the way people actually ask them. Don’t see yours? Call 910.845.5040. We are a family-owned campground, so there is a good chance you will be talking to one of the owners. We are always happy to help.
Yes, all year, in all weather. Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail shall keep us from hosting you. Not every amenity runs year-round, though; the pool in particular is seasonal.
RV sites run $70 to $110 a night and cabins $100 to $190, before taxes and fees. Where you land in that range depends on the site, the season and your dates, so the quickest answer is to check availability and let the calendar price your stay. Or call 910.845.5040.
RV sites check in from 2:00 PM and out by 12:00 PM. Cabins and the rental RV check in from 3:00 PM and out by 11:00 AM.
Both are strictly enforced. Early check-in and late check-out are sometimes possible with pre-approval from the office.
Yes, your furry friends are our furry friends. Dogs and cats, up to two per reservation, on sites and in cabins alike.
A six-foot leash outside your rig or cabin, off leash only inside the dog park fence. Pets aren’t permitted in the office, restrooms, showers, laundry, pool or playground. Cabin pet fees are applied during booking.
All fees, taxes and charges are due at the time of booking, processed through the reservation link. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
Before you cancel, call 910.845.5040 and we will reschedule you free of charge, even without new dates in mind, and hold the credit until you have them. If you would rather cancel: seven or more days before arrival and you get a full refund less a $10 administrative fee. Under seven days, you lose two nights, or three on a holiday. Within 48 hours of arrival, the whole stay.
The full policy, including damages and weather, is on the rules and policies page.
Two nights is a weekend minimum. Midweek you can book a single night online, and if the weekend is not full we will often approve one night then too. You can book up to 60 days online; for anything longer call the office and ask, there is usually a better rate on a long stay.
Every RV site is full hookup (water, sewer and 50-amp electric) on gravel or concrete pads, with a picnic table, a fire pit and two parking spots. You may pitch one tent alongside your rig. Sites hold six people.
You will not need one: every RV site is full hookup, with sewer at the pad. There is no public dump station here, and dumping is for registered guests at their own site only, so we cannot take drop-ins looking to pay to empty their tanks.
If your tanks need more than a rinse, Tank Rangers deep cleans black and gray tanks right at your site and takes $100 off for In The Pines guests. Call or text 843.429.3598, or read how it works.
The park was laid out recently and for modern rigs, so the roads are wide and the turns are generous. If you’re at the long end, call the office before booking and we’ll point you at the right site numbers.
Four, whichever of the three layouts you book. The Deluxe Loft cabins have a queen plus two twins in the loft; the Deluxe Private Bedroom cabins have a queen in its own room plus a queen pullout; the Deluxe Studio has a queen plus a queen pullout and bathroom accessibility features.
Yes, bedding and linens are on the beds when you arrive, and the cabins have an equipped kitchen, a fridge, microwave and coffee maker, a private bathroom with a shower, heating and air conditioning, and a Smart TV.

No. Gem and fossil mining runs every day from 9 AM to 5 PM and is open to the public as well as campers. Bring the relatives who didn’t want to camp.
